The New Small Person
Elmore Green started off life as an only child, as many children do. He had a room all to himself, and everything in it was his. But then one day everything changed.
It can be very nice to have a younger brother or sister, but it can also be quite a SHOCK when they first arrive and you find you are no longer the youngest and cutest of them all. Sometimes it takes a few years to get used to your new status as the oldest or, in my case, middlest.
This story is about that feeling of being knocked off your perch by the arrival of a NEW small person, and how (once you get over the SHOCK) being the oldest or the middlest can actually be rather a good thing.
